Becoming a Featured Writer is An Honor...

Becoming a Featured Writer for "The Great Outdoors" is a Great Honor to Me...

I am happy to announce that in less than three short weeks, Xomba has made me a "Featured Writer" in their "Great Outdoors" category !!! This has to be a highlight in my writing career even though I have only been writing professionally for a couple of years now... I was masked in all the other sites because of so much information from so many "Professional Writers" that seemed to draw all the attention. Today, the lights are finally shinning on me and I am very proud for this moment.

Becoming a featured writer on any site would have to be a great honor for being recognized by your editors as a valuable contributor on a given topic, especially if that position allowed you the opportunity to increase your readership. Although there are many websites you can write for in hopes of gaining a little clout in the writer's community, becoming a "Featured Writer" simply means your quality of workmanship outshines the rest in a given field, and the editors of the website feel this is a quality worth helping promote their site as well as you as a writer.

Many of you that write several articles a week probably already know about "Xomba" and just how important their service is in helping you promote your work on other sites through their "Xomblurbs"... This is a simple way to introduce your new article on any site with a brief description of the article and a back link to the article in question to help you increase traffic to the new article. The more back links you can provide to your articles, the better potential it gains for readership and the possibility of making a little money from your sponsors as well.

"Xomba" also has a feature they call "Xombites" which is where you can place entire articles on just about any subject you can imagine, and in turn use your other promotion sites to back link to your complete articles on Xomba. Building traffic in both directions has many benefits for you as well as your readers, allowing them the opportunity to see some of your published work that they may not have had the privilege of reading yet, and increasing your traffic to help increase your overall profit potential.

All the categories you find yourself writing for are broken down to help the visiting readers find the topics they are looking for. A "Featured Writer" gets the lead stories in that category, and if you are very lucky, perhaps your article will be published on the Home Page to further showcase your talents ! I am happy to announce that in less than the three short weeks I have been writing for HubPages and Xomba, Xomba has made me a "Featured Writer" in their "Great Outdoors" category, and it has already made the "Home Page" !!! This is not only a great honor, but it helps to further my standings in the writing community as a well versed and knowledgeable writer to say the least, but there are many more benefits to this position as well.

Being a "Featured Writer" for a category on Xomba holds many privileges... One of the most important would have to be having an article published in "Google News", in which I am very proud because Google is one of the leading search engines on the Internet today, and having a lead story in their news not only increases my readership, but it furthers my writing potential for profit !

Writing articles for profit is as much of an art as it is a business, and when your total readership is the basis for how much you get paid to do what you do best, finding ways to increase your readership at every opportunity is really what the "Business End" of writing is all about. Its great that you can be creative and enthusiastic about everything you write, with hopes that your enthusiasm will be contagious... but it is equally important to find a way to increase your readership at every opportunity possible. Xomba has a way of helping new writers get they're foot in the door, and if you aren't a member yet, now may be the perfect time to join and start promoting your best work to enable you to profit from it as much as possible.

For those of you interested in reading my article featured in "The Great Outdoors" section of Xomba, the link is: http://www.xomba.com/attracting_wild_birds_winter ... And just in case any of you "Up & Coming" writers haven't joined "Xomba" yet, I hope you take this opportunity to join and further promote your work... My personal referral link to Xomba is: http://www.xomba.com/referral/777e5158 ... Using Xomba will help put your writing career on the fast track if you will only take the time to use it to the best of your ability. I truly believe it was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I hope in the near future, many of you will feel the same way.

What wonderful news! I will be sure to read your article-I've just finished Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods."

Congratulations! I am happy that you are! I came to read and for the amount of time I've been here that is mostly what I do. Every now and again I will get inspired, but I am not a writer by definition, so anything I do is accidental. You, being a writer with a goal, have done well! I look forward to reading more of your works.
